Now my cyl. broken and not work...If possible clean up your OEM cylinder & put a new meteor piston in it.
You can put a 266 or even a 272 top end on it... depending on what you're starting with you may have to replace or modify the intake &/or top cover.
There's a few threads on here covering the differences
And now.Your cylinder is a 162 ,early one by the shape of intake. They were 48 mm. I guess the starter was replaced at some with one from 266.
262 P&C is a whole different saw platform and will not fit the 162/266 casesAnd now.
If i play with new cylinder 262XP - this good reason.
ok. now my new start poin for repair this saw 272 cyl.262 cyl wont fit, different bolt pattern, piston pin size different, ports wont match with 162 case. Why dont you use a 272 cyl instead, almost instant bolt on,much simpler and you get more hp.
a windowed piston is from a closed port jug, not a 61It's probably a 61 or a 262 with a 266 recoil on it
Looks like a 61. Can’t be a 262…completely different saw.Hi from all peoples.
I have old broken Husqvarna 266XP without factory label.
My main problem - cyl. and piston 48mm.
