Kind of a redemption as I couldn't run it in the mini gtg with bob because it wouldn't oil. SO rummaged around the parts pile and have a good nos oil line. Put that in....and ran it for a bit in this one
The 298 was the predecessor to the 2100. It had starter issues due to the small diameter of the recoil pulley making it a beech to start. That was corrected on the 2100.Is that a cousin to the 2100 CD, you think?

Yea , forgot to put the 2101 in there , instead of 2100, my 298 changed starter cover to 2100 style, new rings , and thinner base gasket , original was almost .04 ,Wasn't the 1100 the predecessor to the 2100, followed by the 2101? The 298 was an economy model, in a manner of speaking.
