I need some advice from some experienced timber cutters; I'm working on a Husqvarna 350 chainsaw and I have the carburetor adjusted where it has good quick trigger response, idles fine, good top end rpm's but when I try to cut a log with it it wants to bog down and becomes practically useless unless you baby it thru the log. Chain is sharp. How and what jet needs to be adjusted different to where it will cut thru the log like it's suppose to? Any suggestions would surely be appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Ever put a carb kit in it? A decade-old diaphragm doesn't work as well as a new one.

It has a new carb on it. It runs fine like I said. It starts good, idles good, quick trigger response and good rpm's. It just wants to bog when you're cutting a log.

Low compression=low power under load.

And aftermarket carbs are notoriously hit and miss. What was the OEM one doing?
