Hi all, I'm new to the world of chain saws and wonder if anyone could offer some advise on how I go about trouble shooting an ignition problem I have with a saw. Its a husqvarna 51 and I'm not getting any spark. I've changed the plug and still no spark. I've taken the starter coil cover off and there is an ignition coil with a lead to the on/off switch. Testing for a spark is about the extent of my mechanical skills and was wondering how I can diagose which part of the ignition system has failed. Presumably I need to meter the switch and coil but I have no idea how I do that? Any help or a service manual for the husky 51 would be appreciated. I've been given the saw so don't know its history which might help diagnose the problem. Hoping for some replies.

Regards Jules.
