Have changed fuel and mix. Tried different mix ratio. Done reset calibration process of idleing for 3 minutes. When I could get it to idle that long. Done the calibration of cutting a 15 foot log length 4 inches deep to run saw wide open for minutes. Still wont idle. Clean air filter, new plug currently running non ethanol fuel with amsoil dominator oil at 40 to 1 mix. Saw runs fine otherwise. Was hopingto gt this figured out without going to dealer

Sounds like a dirty carb. Maybe your old gas clogged it up?
Can you idle it down with your finger on trigger?

ALL CHIPS REMOVED FROM UNDER COVER? IF PILED UNDER the Idle screw, that can cause it. Break out the air hose. Now if you start w/ proper WARM procedure, you choke, then unchoke, which cocks it to FAST idle, THEN CRANK and you have to goose it after starting to kick back to normal idle. Are you using proper procedure?

After going through all the simple stuff. Dirty carb, air filter, fuel filter, bad gas. Saw still would stall idleing. Done some more digging and and found a thread on here from back in 2016 I believe. It said to pull carb off and pull the bufferfly out of carb. There is a small hole ithe bufferfly, thread said to open that hole up a bit with drill or dremal. So the saw not running the way I'd like I didn't think I had anything lose. So I pulled the carb and pulled bufferfly. Found drill bit that fit in the hole and went the next size bigger 5/64 and drilled it out. Reassemble an the saw idles like it should now.

I've done this on the early models 👍
