Are those real punches in the bar? If so you did one hell of a job on that saw.
Bar is Tsumura Light all I did was make the full wrap bars for it. It's nothing like my falling saws, but it's fun to play with and a reminder of a great saw from back in the day.
When we get into some smaller timber, 3' ish I may bring her to work for a day.

Your welcome. Have you looked after you seen the picture?
Yes and it's there! Again thank you, I found this saw after we landed on our heli pad, got out and set out to get into my cut block, there it was, bore cut into a tree, must have been left there from god knows when, mint shape, on the top of a mountain with a biscuit of wood on top to keep the weather off. Same thing we do so we don't have to pack our gear out till the block is cut down.
Pretty cool old saw. As the pics show, she's a great old saw!

Good, im glad you found it! Thats nice you scored a saw that way, neat story!!! I have heard a few people finding saws around here also... you would think people would keep track of them better.

The color of the serial number tag will tell for sure - "silver" means 1985, black means 1995.

 Ooppps. I was confused by the old posts here - so some of my posts are off the mark!

It isn't a good idea to dig up an old thread, when you have questions like this......:givebeer:

We find all kinds of cool items, I have many very large cross cut hand saws, up to 12' long, you find them leaned up on huge stumps, boots, hard hats etc....
