I don’t have any work saws anymore, meaning.....I don’t cut wood anymore.

Recent addition. We think this might be a 280S. Not entirely certain with some mix and match parts. I need to track down a set of bar plates for it and get the oil pump off still. Runs well though.

My neighbor found me a 41 at the dump, quick clean and tune up runs and oils great. Even has a good chain. Wow the things people throw away!Spent the last couple of years finding used and new OEM parts to rebuild this from a sorry state. It's finally done.

Husqvarna 90 – Husqvarna’s first chainsaw, launched in 1959What’s the oldest Husqvarna chain saw? Pre dinosaurs .?
Are there still top ends available for a Husky 41? Would one from a 141 fit?
Thanks, great suggestion. Have ordered topend from Farmertec.Go to parts tree and search both models for the carb mounting.
Low compression?I acquired a a nice little 142e.(not running)
Looks to be in great shape and has good spark. I haven’t popped the exhaust off yet to check the piston & cylinder. Do theses saws have a start assist or decompression valve when starting? Feels very easy to pull the cord.
Everything looks great on the saw from what I see. Looks to be original fuel lines/filter. Probably needs a carburetor overhaul.
I plan to pull the carb and put a repair kit in it. Zama w-29 I think? RB-38 sound right for a rebuild kit?
I’ve never owned or worked on a saw newer than 1980 and have never worked on a Husqvarna.
Is there anything special or unique about these models to look out for that may be preventing it from starting?
Any advice would be appreciated
Low compression?
At least 140+Not sure, haven’t tested. What’s the compression range on these saws?
At least 140+
