I run a 20" arbopro bar with 20nk on my model 51 husky. I did do a muffler mod, but it pulls the 20" very well, even when fully buried in cherry. I cut up a couple of 24" diameter cherry trees with it the other week and was quite surprised how well it did.

I used a 18" NK to cut through some really big stuff but it was a pain in the Butt. I think the 16" is the way to go on that saw for 90% of the average cordwood saw. I love the 2152 but in big stuff I like my father in laws old Stihl 038. Nice and torquey .

Why should a “.325 normal bar .058” be better then a “.325 NK bar .050” on the 2159
My 2159 whit 15” or 18” NK .325 is cutting really well

The chisel cutters on Stihl RS and Oregon LP is more effective, when the saw has the power to pull them trough the wood fast enough.
I believe the 2159 got the power to do that.

It has nothing to do with the gauge, or the strenght of the 95VP/H30/S30 chain.

Another note; If you aren't already using an 8-pin sprocket, you should try it.

Yes, but probably nothing to worry about, if the chains are 95VP/H30/S30.......

The chain are the same as Carlton C-BL Semi Chisel (NK) .325, and I'm not using an 8-pin sprocket yet, but I will. I have tried Chisel chain, but it is to mush dirty wood around here so they get easily dull, Semi Chisel are holding the edge mush longer. I have Chisel chain on my 2171, but I will change this to Semi Chisel also, cos I think that I'm sitting more filing the chain then I'm out cutting. So my conclusion is that Chisel chain is not good enough here, to mush dirty wood.

Just threw 8-pin to my 353, cant wait to test it wih h30 chain...

You're SO lucky to have oak down there, wish we had some up here...

No oak? Where you at?

We're mostly cutting juniper and some pinyon around here, but there was a state permit last fall in an area with lots of Grey and Emory oak. Man, that stuff is heavy...

Santa Fe. There are patches of scrub oak up on Glorieta Mesa (near Pecos) but it's not worth the drive to get such small stuff.

Sounds like a nice mix. I've been cutting nothing but standing dead pinon for three years, there's still sh!tloads of it from the beetle invasion a few years back.

I think the NK chain is designed for smaller saws with less HP. Surprised you are not breaking off cutters with NK on a 59cc saw.

I was thinking of this, and now my Jonsered 2152 have got 13" .058 .325, and my Jonsered 2159 have got 15" .058 .325, so I hop all of you are satisfied now
Well I still have to get 8-pin sprocket :bang:
