return line expanding

First day i used my 35 ton huskee, the return line flew off and split. called tsc and they replaced it with the same mainliner hose. 2nd hose did the same thing so i tightened it down real good. stayed on for awhile but started expanding. researched here on this site so i ventured to call speeco. customer service was rude but finally convinced him that i read on here that it was the wrong hose application. he said noone on here were technicians and didnt know what you were talking about. after a few minutes of raising my voice, he agreed to send me the correct hose. why do people have to be so rude? all i want to do is use the splitter without endangering myself.

Normally there should not be enough pressure in the return hose to blow the hose off or cause the hose to blister. Generally these things happen when there is blockage in the return to the tank. Filter housing installed back-wards, there is an arrow showing direction of flow, damaged by-pass valve in filter housing, or wrong filter element.

do you think because it was the wrong hose application that it may be deteriorating and clogging the filter?

Weeping Hose

There was another thread started last year about the same problem of a weeping hose on the Huskee 35 ton splitter. I have that same splitter and my hose had begun to weep too.

Kevin from Speeco joined in the thread and explained the problem. It seems Speeco had gotten a shipment with the wrong type of hose. It was heater hose which looks like the hydraulic hose.

He mentioned that anyone having the weeping problem to Email him. I did and he shipped me the correct hose immediately . In defense of Speeco those hoses looked exactly alike -- the wrong type and the correct type. After replacing the wrong type there has been no more weeping.

Kevin is an asset to Speeco - I've seen a lot of threads in which he has solved a customer's problem.

The correct hose and hose clamps are fine. The one thing that can be fixed is the high pressure 90 at the filter, it has a smalled id than the low pressure mallable fitting does and the mallable fitting helps with backpressure and as a result heat. CJ
