This is true. But I fixed a couple of saws by cleaning the oil tank vent. This allowed the pressure to vent by the vent and not by pushing it through the oil pump. Just something to check .

How did you clean the tank vent that it lets air out? It's supposed to let air enter only.

I checked spark on the Husky..looks good. Fuel looks like black tar. Still working on the 026. Eventually I'll flush the system, pull and clean carb, maybe put new plug and fuel line & filter. Buddy said it ran good before it sat in storage for years.

Well dammit..I thought I was done woth the 024 and emptied the fuel and ran the saw dry. Then I rechecked the specs and realized that the high max rpm is off by 1K rpm!

I had the low rpm pretty close by ear tuning..I checked it with tach and richened it up a hair. But my high max I never touched..thought was supposed to be 12K..oops🙄 thats supposed to be 13K!

So I guess tomorrow I need to fill it back up, warm it up and try one more time. Then drain and run dry for storage. I understand that even though I warmed it up, it's 32 degrees out and I'll have to readjust the tune when summer comes..or whenever I need to pull the saw out.
