Hows it going? I HAD a 550 Kaw Ltd. Sold it!

Man glad to here you sold it . We buried a neighbor friend last Thursday. He was 44 years old had a wife, 12 year old son 15 year old daughter. 22 year veteran Houston FF/Paramedic. He was coming home from the races on his bike and was hit by a hit and run driver. The piece of crap left him laying there in the road to die. God bless Joe Hadley ( JOJO)and his family.

Hey guess what? I sold my 1st rick today! Already had enough rounds left from last year that i was able to get 1/3 cord. Was a new customer so I wanted to get him 1st. Said he'd take 2 or 3 more. So....1 down and about 90 to 100 to go! lol

Hi there. I'm in Scott City. About 35 miles East and 45 miles South of Goodland. Pheasant are plentiful here.

Are you sure you aren't rying to entice some help to come hunt in the morning and cut/split the rest of the day ? J/K

Hope you get healed up soon.

BTW congrats on the new customer.

lol Heck I never thought of that! Where are you? lol I have always (2 whole winters) cut alone. Come to think about it, there isnt anyone else to cut with around here! I like it this way. Believe me, it takes a lot more trees from around here than where most other AS members are from to get 30+ cords. But hunting, if someone wants to come hunt, i have no problem. I make a pretty good blocker!

Yeah , when you are cutting in 8" stuff it takes a good dozen or so to make a cord of firewood. 8" wood makes for a nice size to split. It is kinda nice when I do run onto bigger stuff and dont spend all my time felling and dragging that I can cut just 1 and have a full cord to bring home. Looking forward to getting down in the bottom land where the bigger stuff grows. I'm slowly working a path to them where the new fence will go. I keep eyenig the big Mullberrys down there that I cant get to till the little stuff is gone.

I'm in Ark City. Between 2 jobs, raising kids and everything else that goes along with a hectic life I don't get to make much time myself. Any extra time seems to be taken up by the GF. The pheasant arent real thick here. I do see a few when I pull in on my brothers place to work back fencerows. They dont stay around too long once the saws start. I just never have time to go hunting.

It would be kinda nice to be 2-4 years out with wood here. I'm in town and the neighbors dont care to see that much wood all in one place. They usually don't bother me much over what I do burn or bring in to sell. Not since I am quick to help them out when needed.

8"? That would take a while! The biggest ive messed with was 63" at the Y. Too big for me. Most are 14-24" which is ok with me. I just push em over with the front end loader, drag them out and cut em up. All 2 miles from my place.
