I think I posted some pics of this tree before but today is the first day I worked on it. I bored the tree and found the heart was rotten. Today I cut it off the stump in preparation to yanking it out of the woods.

It jumped off the stump about 3 feet uphill towards me and tripped a mousetrap I didn't see under the leaves. A branch the size of a baseball bat just brushed my pants with enough force that it would have hurt like heck.

The tree isn't real large in diameter but I'd guess it to be around 160' tall. I measure it once it hits the ground.

This is what I have to deal with now!

gotta look

No doubt you did , . So easy to get it !!
How do you like the light weight bar , I,m thinking of getting some ????. I take it the only ones you can cut are the flagged ones ?????? What are you yarding with ????
Pretty much need to get that cats faced one on the ground , buck the stump low , choke the butt and get it over to the right so it can un hang itself .... I REALLY PREFER CLEAR CUTS

The 36" LW bar on the 660 is the only LW bar I own or have used. For the few trees I have cut with it I really like it. I'll add one in 28" to the 460 soon.

The flagging on the tree to the right is left over from my survey last year. The arborist did not feel that tree needs to come down. I hope to change his mind in the next couple of days. We are not yarding, we're skidding a short distance to a Lucas mill.
