Today was easy, no roping, just dropping. A BIG-ARSE hackberry, easy as can be.
The best part was popping off the main leads, bottom up. I love it when it separates neat and clean, and lands flat and perfect.

Ain't that sweet?;)

Naw, the best are little aspens the you can lay down right agains the feed chute of the chipper and just pick up the butt ends eat em and go. Shoot, in the winter you dont even have to rake up the leaves.

Wishful thinking when dealing with dead live oaks.

Duct tape and hydrogen peroxide mandatory.

Done the live oaks down south, I will much rather do my native speices. Spruce, fir and pine are straight up and down. So are aspens, most poplars and the majority of the elms. The maples get sprawled out, and the cottonwoods just seem to get HUGE. Willows are another matter.
