Netree, you grow corn too?

That's not photo shop go search google for horse drawn log loaders. They have video and all on it. It's pretty cool. I don't know how much work I'd get done with horse on the job. He's in my back pocket as it is stealing my clothes, tools, what ever I have laying around. I really baby him. It would be nice to bring something from home to work.

Geez murphy.....

1989!!!

They should have a statue of you at that Camp 18 logging museum restaurant at mile marker 18 of Hy. 26 in Elsie near the Oregon coast.

(ever eaten there?)

I've got a couple of photos on my Oregon coast album.

Is that you standing in front?

:)

Here in the UK horse logging has started up again recently with the realy envirnmentally aware types, even a couple of councils employ them on some sensitive areas. Whether it's commercially viable alternative I don't know.

There are some religous aspects of this: I think some Amish cannot use any type of engine but there are sub-groups of Amish that can use an engine to power something (like a grapple boom or a thresher) but the engine cannot propel the vehicle. So sometimes you'll see engine powered farm implements being pulled by horses or mules.

Big John, Where is the video on that horse drawn log loader? I have looked all over Google Search and must have missed it somewhere. I would like to use it in one of my classes. Bob
