Went out on my lunch hour and bought a new chainsaw. Bought a Husqvarna 365 w/ 20" bar.I will pick it up Wednesday AM and then head off to the woods to burn a tank or two of fuel. Hope I made the right decision. The final factor was a knowledgeable owner that took the time to talk to me. A solid business thats both close and has been there for sometime. And a quick demo of the saw.I'm a stinking laydown.

SOLD!

Yes Virginia, there are still isolated pockets of genuine rednecks left in New York state. The Governor has put them on the endangered species list however.

I just spent $50K on a pick-up today. Nissan Frontier Nismo. Fun machine, I'm having an aluminum, foam-lined box fabricated to house my little MS260 for off-roading entanglements.:)

Thank you for making me feel better. $50K for a Frontier makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about my small investment.

I have been in the Automobile business for several decades. The Frontier is a reliable little truck. I have seen them with with over 300,000 miles on them still running great.

Welcome to the site. There are a couple guys you gotta watch, but I'll let you decide that one....

Is your 365 a special or regular 365? I have two 365's. one of each. I have been using them for 5 years now and they are great saws. They used them where I used to work for bucking all the trees. They bought new saws every year for a tax writeoff and I got a good deal. I've been using them mostly for firewood ever since. Lately I have been getting into side job "hack" removals.....

I just recieved the parts today to convert one of them into a 372XP special... The 365 shares the same frame as the 362xp, 371xp, and 372xp. So if you ever get bored with the power and nice broad torque range, all it takes is a cylinder, piston, boot and possibly a carb ( the specials had the walbro, which was the same as the 362/371/372. The regulars had the Zama and need the walbro carb too.

Take care
Steve

My neighbor had one of the nissan frontiers he liked it but only payed around $26,000 for his. Man for $50k you could have gotten a really nice Ford Power stoke which would last longer then the little Nissan. I have seen a power stroke with 500,000 miles on the original motor it had been through 3 transmissions though.
