I cannot idle up to full throttle, the rpm's are displayed in a series of led lights, approximately 15 led small circles. To properly grind, I run the machine full throttle, yet it won't let me idle all the way up, it stops at about 80-90 percent, the swing moves very slow if not full throttle, I have had to turn the aggressiveness of the autosweep up just to move the swing efficiently, yet this cannot be good for the machine, nor am I able to make anytime. I have changed the both fuel filters and fuel pump just today, any suggestions? I think it might be wiring, I replaced the autosweep computer last year and the fuel actuator.

probably would help to mention what machine...

My tracked 50hp stump grinder. vermeer 50tx. As I would say..."fiftie." And fiftie is being a butthole!

What engine do you have?

Gas or diesel? I'm thinking diesel because of the 50 HP. Have you had this since new? Also, I believe you are describing the problem incorrectly. It sounds like you are not getting full throttle to the rev limiter. We need to know what you are running so we can help guide you in the right direction.

Good Luck!

Need still more info

What brand engine, year, etc. Its in your owners/operators manual. Need more info to be able to help you out. I do not want to research for info you already have.

50 hp Cat engine

2002 Vermeer Sc50tx 50 hp cat engine, sorry usually I get a couple guys that own the same machine and they help me quickly, but always good to list all the info.

Does this have a throttle cable?

Or is everything electronic? Still don't know what model Cat engine you have.

Good Luck,

BOB

Cat engine model 3024C ? Disconnect the throttle actuator and rotate the fuel lever counter clockwise to full fuel position. Is there any difference in RPM while in the the full fuel position? Post some pictures. Help us help you. DF
