Could be a carb issue still, impulse or seals, try gas down the carb with a dry plug. If no go the a flywheel key or crank seal
A better test for spark is to do the "sparky" test with a spare plug that has the gap opened up to about 0.060". Since it is harder to fire the plug in the engine under compression than out in free air, this will be a better test for spark energy. If it fires this gap outside the engine, it should do the same inside.

Do what he says, his an expert on Echo. If all else fails I may have a coil from a CS-4400 pretty much the same saw.

Hi Steve i got that bastard fired for the first time since a long long time but she ran for 2 to 3 minutes and stall never ran again do think it's a needle probrem ??? it's seem to get flooded . thanks for help you gave me the best advice yet. i still hate that saw
i got it fired again but not for long i have done what the expert said 4 tuns on l and h and now it's turn to carb issue now !!!

your advices are as good as any body i have done all your advices that you gave me
Try 3 turn out and report back, 4 turns is pig rich but will get your saw started but should run real rich. I always start way rich then back in until running good. Steve
Push choke in as soon as it even tries to start. Saws are easy to flood.

Well, at least you didn't buy a new coil.......
nothing is cheap on these saws carb =100$ coils ??? parts are so high expensives that peolpe don't want to pay for fixing them just put in junk and an buy another one every things now are not made to last long like old days.

Yeah, that is why I like folks to figure out the problem before they start buying things.
No reason ever to buy a carb unless it has thousands of hours and the throttle shaft is worn out. A new oem coil is $63. Never has trouble with a bad coil or a wore out carb on any Echo. Steve
i have rebuilt the carb with new a complete kit . this chainsaw as not more than 10 hours of prunning branches and fire wood first bar chain sharpened once or two time it's was hard to start from first and last time i have used it. I bought this saw brand new from e-bay guy that remove serial number from saw so no warranty at all got screw . i had partner saw, jonsered Shindaiwa 695and 377sthill my new used saw is a Jonsered 2159 . (echo cs-400)this worst saw that a have bought i will try again with new setting soon . here lot snow this winter -20 celcius tonight . thanks for help .
