Hi guys,
I have 2 Poulan S 25's
1 with points & 1 with a CD ignition.
I am currently going through both of them.
the one with points has a strong spark & sparks at a relitivly low cranking rpm.
The other one, with the CD ignition seems to have a much weaker spark & you really have to pull it over fast to get anything out of it. You can see the spark consistantly in a dark room, but it just does not stack up to the other one.
I have had the one with points running, but not the one with the weak spark (have never tried)
Both of these saws are like new with very little use. I am just cleaning them up, and puting carb kits/fuel lines/filters & etc in them. You know the usual for a saw that has been sitting for some time.
In your opinion, do you think the one with weak spark is going to run OK, or am I wasting my time on it.
I have checked the obvious (air gap, plug wire & etc..) & all seems well..........
