I think I have gotten 7 calls already this morning. This wind storm is nuts. Trees on houses and cars all over the place.
In SoCal trees are falling everywhere!

I was thinking about you Mike. Its crazy your way. My job for today got cancelled. 60 mph gusts in the mountains. Our phones are down too. I'll E-mail you my house phone in case you need some help this week-end. Be safe out there. Wade

Just saw some footage on the news feeds. The damage is kinda nuts for a little wind storm, so I'm guessing most of it is from long neglected trees in places that are difficult or dangerous to get at.
You guys be carefull and all that, and make some Hay!!!

I received about 20 calls yesterday! Most I did not even get to- multiple trees on houses, cars, etc. Pasadena is in an official state of emergency. The biggest I looked at was a massive uprooted deodar. About 5' DBH the whole rootball came up and ripped up their sewer connection and took another tree with it. I am crossing my fingers that we will get the job for Monday and I am renting a 40 ton to pick up the root ball and chunks from the main spar. This tree was actually on the news yesterday. Stoked to pull out the 3120 again. Would love your help on this one if you can make it, Wade, if I get the job.
I know another tree guy in Inglewood who actually had his car smashed by a big euc limb. It's crazy out here.

I'd love to help. I have Monday open Mike if you get the job. You see Griffith Park? They lost 400 trees I heard on the news.
Wasn't that much damage up in the mountains, even with 60 mile gusts. Thurs I thought my little car was going to get blown off the hy-way going up the mountain. Had to dodge rocks all the way up there only to have them cancel the job. A little wind doesn't bother me.:msp_smile:
Work my first snow day up there today, kind of cool, but it was only a few inches deep there in Lake Arrowhead.

WOW! Watching the news, instantly thought of you guys! Jeff, u guys heading up there to join the other branch? GOD I WISH I WAS THERE! 3.5 years, tic toc.
We got lucky here, the LA guys got it tho. We are too busy here to go up. Working in Temecula today.
