I bid a job for what it's worth, and that's what I charge. No breaks, no deals, just an honest and fair price to begin with.

I didn't screw myself to much, and I thought I was helping him, it would of been nice to get the full $850 but time will tell, I always get what is mine in one way or another, what got me was the insurance fraud.

That is the way I like it, or to let them find out eventually in a coupla whiles. I am thinking of narrowing out the freebees, and charging fair to all except close friends.

Frankly, I consider my time and expertise valuable. Whether you're a 70 year old retiree or a twenty-something, my time is worth the same- not to mention the fuel, insurance, employees, maintainance etc. all still cost the same.

Noted Rocky and agreing in most cases now, except close friends.

I go for 600-800 a day depending on job, that is with me and 2 groundies.

Not to mention if you do more work at a later date, they'll think you're gouging if you charge normally.

Yea, but I don't care right now after he asked me to bump the invoice for him. I don't need work from people like that.

If you are going to cut a break for a friend you might just as well do it for free. I dont have a problem with doign a free job for a friend. Manytimes i will tell them it is free and they will try to pay me at the end. anyway so i tell them ok this what you would have to pay if it was full price . now you pay me what ever you want. this way everyone is a happy camper. But i tell you what if i am going to do a free be , you surely wont see me Gathering brush Hahahahaha
