Ok, this may not be exactly on topic, but I got this email sometime last week. its not a normal way for someone to do business IMO. What I'm wondering is has anyone else gotten the same email? below is the email itself, I just edited the URL by removing www. com from it.

Hello, the team at milacalawn would like to thank you for coming to our site and looking around. If you were affected by the hurricanes this summer and need a new chainsaw, we just got word that FEMA is reimburing people for their chains saws that they buy. Check with your local goverment agency! If you already had bought one look into the reimbursement. Also for you folks up North, winter is coming soon and have you taken a look at your snow thrower? IF you need parts or just want to get a new one vistit us. We have the full line of Toro Snow throwers up on the site available for on-line ordering. We are selling ours with a 3 year toro factory warranty and some models have a 5 year gaurantee to start warranty also. We got em and at dicount prices and free shipping to your door! Hurray the 3 year warranty program ends Nov 1 2004. Orders yours soon.
Well that about does it, don't forget we have over 500,000 parts available online for your lawnmowers with free on-line parts illustrations, and other outdoor power equipment. Thanks again for being our customer and have a great weekend. Forward this e-mail to your friends and let them share in the savings with milacalawn
Thanks again

OSA--The concern would be how did

they get your email address? If you voluntarily gave it to them, then their email advertisement is no big deal (not counting spelling, grammar, sentence structure, etc). If you visited their site, & they pulled & used your email address without your knowledge, that's not good. Maybe they got your email address from another vendor, or maybe someone you know gave it to them? Best case scenario would be they're legit, & they have some some useful products at great prices.

A digression: My sister used to send to me emails with Christian inspirational messages. Her emails were fine, but I got really POd at the people who used the 'copy to' list as a mailing list for their businesses. With the persistent ones I threatened to use their email address to sign them up with the KKK, Aryan Brotherhood, Black Panthers, NAACP, atheist groups, perverted ???? sites, gay & lesbian groups, etc. It worked very well, but POd my sister big time.

Knot Whole,
I dont know how this company got my email address, so I became suspicious of the company. since I'm in Fl and they seem to be selling chainsaws, I'd think that would have something to do with it.

I like that idea very much. not many businesses want to be associated by any means with the racist groups you listed.

Perhaps you have been on their site. Several times when I have searched for something I get strange newsletters and stuff.
