Anyone know anything about these big ol dudes? I need to know how to adjust the steering clutches.

Okay just incase people don't know what it is, but still might know about the adj.? It's a old International bulldozer, cable operated blade, I think the guy that owns it said it was 190 hp. but won't steer good, How do you adj. these?

I have a neighbour that has a td14, two td24 and a burnt td25 I think. If anyone knows he should if he's not in the field seeding I can catch him tomorrow and get back to you.

That would be great, he has quite the collection of dozers/crawlers. That 25 is a hoss, it will mow right over trees, I believe this one has a 14' blade up front. Thanks

Try over on Redpowermagazine.com in the construction board. Those guys over there are good and alot of them have been around the 24's. You'll have to regester for the fourm but there is a lot of good info over there on the old IH's

The little I know of them is that they used planetary steering to provide constant power through the turn, in other words no clutches. From what I understand the steering was a weak spot in them and was usully costly to repair.

Good luck

Thanks guys for the links, I never really thought about Red power mag. I used to get there magazine even. I'll have to register there I have a 560 that I need to find out about getting a motor for it. Anything with planetary gears seems to be expensive, I can't imagine trying to work on that thing seems to be a little cramped for space under the floor plates.
