First, off i would like to say hello. I am new to the forums but not to trees. I am a owner/operator from Indiana. I run a all climbing tree service and i do all the climbing. This place is great i feel at home here. all the tree people here are not very educated about trees and i can not stand to talk to them.

So are you happy here, or not, I seem a little confused by your post...

Yes im happy here. sorry for the confusin i mean here in my home town i am not happy.

thanks i will. not so much my home town just the tree services. when talking to them it like trying tp explain physics to a second grader

Welcome, Scott! This is the best forum on the internet for tree guys. Watch out for trolls. If you see someone who has posted thousands and thousands of posts on here in a year's time, it's a good bet that the poster is not a working tree guy but, rather, someone who simply likes to see his own ramblings on here, however inaccurate they may be.. That being said, some disabled/retired guys on here were great tree men, in their time, and still have good ideas and info to impart in their many posts. The trick is to differentiate between the two, as above. Again, welcome.

Is it just my own observation or is there an abundance of guys named 'Scott' in this industry/forum? :)

Can't hurt. Anything to give you a leg up on the competition in today's economy...

Welcome...fellow Hoosier!

I feel the same way sometimes about talking with other local tree guys...some get it and some don't.

Where in Indiana?

Send me a pm and we can chat about the Hoosier state.

Start a thread "Hoosiers kvetching about the industry" I can understand it, I've been to a few towns and driven through on the I system. Never seen so many topped trees before. But then southern WI has always been ahead of the curve

Well, bee-itching is not allowed on the site.

I've been a shabatt goyim on a few occasions, I think anyone who works in yards has. The oddest "My wife left the lights on yesterday, could you turn them off?" as he is standing next to she switch.
