I was wondering what the format was on some of the forms you guys use. I plan on having some printed, but I was wondering what are some of the important thing to have on the forms that get used alot. Your help is much appreciated!

I use color proposals I customized from a word template with my logo and such. They are attached to grayscale carbon copies. Costs me about $65 for 100 but it looks real professional. Email me if you would like a copy to get an idea of format. [email protected].

Thanks

Thanks for the reply, I thought I was just talking to myself on here. I appreciate you being so helpful, others can join in on this conversation too. Paul

I would like to see your format also, would it be ok to email you?

I just made my proposal using quickbooks. I added my standard damage disclaimers and general info at the bottom left using the misc. message box. After printing it out, I simply had a 3-part form made up at the local print shop. Had about 1000 made for $250.

If you're not using quickbooks for general book keeping, paying bills, paying employees, and invoicing customers, it really is a very good software to get to know. Makes nice professional looking invoices and proposals.

As for the disclaimers on the form, I have info about what to expect if we come in with big equipment on your lawn what to expect if we grind your stump. also payment terms and financing options among a couple other things.

I had a contract drawn up by my lawyer, its pretty bullet proof. What ever ya come up with, throw it in front of a lawyer for review. Making sure your not leaving your butt out in the open.

I agree with AP, quick books the way to go, just dont get the credit card service thru them, they charge WAY TOO MUCH.

AP- how ya been? Hows the mini ramps working on the truck? Close to getting that mini from Dave at Top Notch, he has those dump trailers with the spot for the Mini, gettin one of those 2! cant wait!

Thanks for the information

Thanks guys! We are going to get quickbooks, but there are som many different versions. Which versions are you guys running? BTW thanks for the info about quickbooks charging to much to process credit/debit cards.

What does the paperwork made with quickbooks look like?
