I'm actually jealous of your truck. I love my truck and I only paid $2800 for it but with the 7.5L V8 gas burner, it DRINKS the gas down. Of course it pulls the grinder around NO problem at all.

Oh, mines a 93 with 136k miles and doesn't leak a drop. :)

I wondered if anyone would catch that? That is the cost of the tooth @ 10.80 like you are paying then the total cost of shipping and the sharpening. This is if you get 2 uses out of the tooth. 1 use new/ 1 use sharpened. If you can get 3 the cost just keeps dropping. If you don't have the guys info that sharpens I can instant mess. it to you.

You mean like this info?

I was talking to one of my neighbors today, showing him my new toy (Babe the Blue Ox) and he asked if I'd talked to our other neighbor about getting the teeth sharpened. My other neighbor has a saw sharpening business at his house, 2 houses down from me. I know he sharpens grinder teeth of some kind because his son-in-law has an old Vermeer tow-behind and has been grinding for a long time. I need to see if he can sharpen these Sandvik teeth and if so, for how much.

That would be the man in Alabama!!! Good guy and did a nice job! If you could get someone close it would save the shipping. He is still at 2.75 a tooth which isn't bad at all. gr8scott that truck of yours is an awesome thing cuz it's paid for and it helps you make your living at a low operating cost, we'll have to run streamline in an economy like this! Mine is paid for but I did a lot of 80 to 90hr weeks hauling equipment to pay er' off! You guys have a good night I gotta get some sleep... gotta do a freebie grind for my brother tomorrow lots o fun!

My snide remark was the " that a boy". That wheelbarrow was the first thing I saw. Nice set up. I really didn't see anything leaking.

Thanks treemandan! It's just about a perfect set up... kinda thinking I might need a dump of some sort though( insert or trailer) I also do hauling of "green waste" (rotten firewood, brush) the dump would be nice.

i think its around 2k for a dump insert for the pickups. i'd go for it if i were you. that way you can build the sides up a little too.

Your right on the price. I'm going to have to do something. The add I run in the paper for hauling has done well... it helps through the winter. But the unloading by hand isn't to fun. we'll do something soon! thanks for the input!

Have you checked out one of these?

www.loadhandler.com

We have been using one for years for both unloading stump grindings and tree chips from our pickup. Just last week our old truck needed some work so we switched over to another less old truck and I was seriously bummed when I realized the old loadhandler didn't fit the newer truck. Spent the whole last week shoveling chips out of the back. Major PITA !

Just got the new loadhandler on Saturday and will try it out this next week and take some pics. It is a good, inexpensive alternative and doesn't tie up your truck for other uses.

Try getting a loadhandler for under a 100 bucks at Northern Tool.

Didn't see much but a couple pieces of equipment and a really nice Bronco.

Thanks the bronco has a faraway paint job though but I reringed and
bearinged it, put a 650 holley and msd in her, changed it from manual to auto with a shift kit and parked it. I fire it up and go around the farm sometimes,I think I am going to sell it but funny thing is you will never get your money back unless you paint it!

This is all it takes to turn any truck into an efficient and affordable dump.

This is my little stumper. It is the second one I have owned and I absolutely love them! Low initial purchase price, low operating costs, go through a 30" gate. It makes us between $225 and $250 an hour regardless of stump size.
