3CA2BABA-9C71-4323-9ABA-BAF0C2EEEE4B.jpeg No, this ain’t a porn thread. This fall a landscaper asked me if I would cut down a dogwood against a house he was relandscaping. No problem, a dogwood, 10 seconds of cutting. Get to the house and rethought the 10 seconds. After I dropped the tree we pulled back all the rotted mulch and I took another cut at ground level. This was that cut.
Biggest dogwood I ever saw and it had leaves so yes, it’s a dogwood.

I've seen many that big and maybe bigger when I lived in Oregon. They will reach at good hundred feet tall to get light in the woods.

But, yours is bigger because I don't have any that big on my property.

WOW, the Eastern Dogwoods we have only get 15-20 feet high. So I did a search and found the Pacific Giant Dogwood. The US Forest Service gives it a height of 66 feet. That's a monster compared to ours, Joe.
