Just for you jokers, as promised. And Gypo, I'm accepting your wise counsel. The 770 is now a permanent outdoor fixture for the stump along the driveway.

Otto...I dont think that is a DBradley...I could be wrong...but i think I have one on my roof that looks like that...has the markings..."NU-17" on the back if I remember right...wait...that one could be yellow...i think that dear old red saw is a Homelite....someone else here will know better than I. I am just rambling now I think...

Hi Beavergirl, I'm really groovin on those pictures you posted.
All of us are more than receptive to you, if in fact you are for real. If you are not, thats ok, but please entertain us.
Anyway, if you are for real, thanks for not dumping us.
Your an Angel.
John

Hi Beavergirl, Thanks for the pics! You appear to have good form, especially while bucking, I noticed that you keep your upper body out of the area above the bar should it kick back and you have a good strong stance to counter the reactive forces also. I guess that you do indeed make a case for using the 046 with a 28" bar for the small stuff on the ground although I suppose that to be relative I would have to use about a 36" er, which I find unwieldly. Welcome to the world of chainsaw fanaticism! Russ

I bet you took your cap off just for us, BG. I can't imagine combing the chips out of that mane on a daily basis. I'm glad I'm nearly bald, for that reason.

Please don't relegate that delightful old Homie to stump duty. I love old saws, and have models dating all the way back to 1949. I would never dream of allowing one to slowly rot away like that. Well, maybe one of them "Kraut-cutters", but you know...

hi beaver girl. i could say some things the fellas could appreciate, but u mite not. i will say u are one healthy lookin girl. hope u take that rite. i got a 14 yr old daughter thats about 110 and 5ft an 6 inches. and she thinks shes fat. i dont understand why these girls want to look so skinny. any way u sure got the full package. saws aint bad either.
by the way if this is not real ,it oughta be.:) . no need to answer the post cause
i wont answer probably. the wife just wont appreciate it. just honest opinion of a lot older man.keep sawin girl.

Hey Beavergirl, when Gypo was out west here he was showing me some of topping skills with a Eager Beaver chainsaw. I too asked him about the proper eye protection and Gypo said that he finds it much safer to just sqwint real hard when cutting also he mentioned that should any larger chips come flying at him his lightening fast reflexes kick in to dodge in the incomming peril.

The real reason that Gypo should wear eye protection is not because he could get hit with flying wood chips, but because the eyes almost always provide a view into the state of mind.

Hi there, the true relevancy of my picture above of the chair can be seen if you go the the "used quipment" forum. Just look at the
"Saw That Jack Built" thread.

Nice action, but you should have chopped up the whole dining room set so Robyn would be really stoked. The bloodshot, blownout eyes take the cake. This is a great shot.

I don need no stinking eye protection!

I'll bite.

Safety Glasses, there is a glint just above my nose, I tried posting a 512K picture which should have been truly massive, but board software is limiting image size on screen. Excellent to know as resizing is unnecessary.

Hey beavergirl impressive photos, I also like your choice of power equipment I too am a STIHL fan, best saws out there!!

Keep on cutting. BTW. Doug at the end of your posts you always put "Just a few homeowner type saws" and you list some huskies, and then you post a photo with what looks to be a 088. Do you not like huskies or are you being sarcastic and you don't like Stihl?:D

I'll post pictures of any saw. I happen to have a few Huskies, a Jonsey and a couple of other smaller saws, but no Stihls as yet. I have nothing against any saw brand. Sometimes I am sarcastic, but never about chainsaws or Krell audio equipment.

Thanks for clearing the air Doug I agree with you completly.
Hey Beavergirl I took a second look at your pics, and I noticed your 041. My father in-law has an 041 farmboss that is in just as good of shape as yours, really great saw has lots of torque but is a pain in the @## to lug all day.
:blob2: Happy cutting

Salutations Gypo!

Why yes, I did indeed. After 2 running hours of ownership we parted company. I traded it in on an 046 in '97. After 5 minutes of running it wouldn't idle. If you allowed it to stop, it wouldn't start. After reading all the glowing reviews of the 044, I must have gotten a lemon. The 046 on the other hand is a dream to run. After finding TSF and AS I learned a thing or two, opened the muffler, installed the "dual port" front exhaust cover, ceramic coated the entire muffler assy, repainted all the orange parts of the saw pink, and liberally applied those Stihl Timbersports "311Y " racing stickers.

You know what? I even filed my first loop of square chain last Saturday. I'm doing something wrong though. It cuts like crazy for 5 minutes and then it feels dull again. Jokers thread "calling all square filers" and the "Art Martin" thread have been a tremendous help to this neophyte. If I published a book called "Square filing for Dummies, the 90 minute tickle" would it sell?
