Yes.Is honey locust the one with the long stem with a ton of tiny leaves on it that turn yellow and get tracked into the house in fall?
I think so. IDK about the tracking though. Is honey locust the one with the long stem with a ton of tiny leaves on it that turn yellow and get tracked into the house in fall?
That is silver maple all day long in the pic. On the trailer Im with wolf that looks like honey locust. Any branches from this honey locust.?Here's the maple next door. Not many locust in my area so I'm no pro at identifying locust except when I see the foliage. The bark dies seem similar but I would side with the guys that cut on a more frequent basis.View attachment 964881

Late last summer I dead limbed and pruned a pretty good sized honey, I was up in that thing for what seemed like hrs. They have a million branches and the canopy can be so dense all the undergrowth does out, what a mess they are. The client had initially talked about having me remove it a few summers ago when I removed a handful of pine on the property line, then they decided they could live with the mess because it's their primary shade .I will bet anyone it is.
That looks like my neighbors tree when I lived in Detroit. But smaller. Ours has a smoother bark. Nice recon work soldier! Was just in town and snapped a couple pictures for you guys.
Honey locust.
@Brufab , look at the branch structure and you can easily see the difference between this and silver maple.

As you said, on some the bark can be similar, like the one in this picture; others the bark shows fissures that look much like the grain will look, more like many species of elm look, and their wood has a similar nasty twisted grain like honey locust
