The other day I was at my local shop and an older gentleman and his son were in just looking at stuff. The owner and the older gentleman were having a good conversation about the old times and I found out he gave the owner his first job at a small engine store here in Lincoln.
He was looking at the saws I have on display and was commenting about the Clinton and the Lancaster and ask me if I had any Poulans or Pioneers. Yes sir I said, I own both and have a great deal of respect for both brands. He smiled and shook my hand as he and his son departed.

Today I went into the shop and the owner said he had something for me. Two original Poulan binders full of the following;

Special Service Tools, Line Trimmers, Brushcutters, Blowers
Special Service Tools For Chainsaws, Miltipurpose Saws
Flat Labor Rate Schedule for Poulan Pro and Poulan Gasoline Products, dated July 1989
Parts List for Poulan Mowers, Tractors, Tillers,
Parts List for the Following Saws;

A note was included that he has some stuff for Pioneer and McCulloch. Yeah, I know most of this stuff is on the net, but it is sure good to hold the originals in your hands.

All in all a good day.

Nice! I hope that you get the rest of the docs.

This deserves a bump; I'm surprised that the Poulan guys didn't post some :msp_drool: comments.

Thanks for bumping this up, first I had seen it.

This is valuable stuff to collectors. I bet I have quite a bit of it but I see a few things I probably don't. The older 200 series stuff has been hard to find and even different year ipls of the common ones are nice to have to find variations over years of production.

I'll probably be bugging Jerry in the near future for copies of certain things.

Mark, I was thinking of your collection of Poulan docs when I read this thread. I would be gently prodding the generous fellow for the rest of the docs--"A note was included that he has some stuff for Pioneer and McCulloch."
