As much as I'd like to, I ain't believing 50s... actually have a hard time believing high 40s.
There's just too much snow cover for 50°... it reflects way too much heat back into space.
With the sun still low in the southern sky, here's a limit to how warm it can get until that friggin' snow is gone.
I'm bettin' the best we see is low-to-mid 40s next week... but, on the bright side, we will melt a ton of snow.

'Round here that "poof" is usually a March snowstorm... typically during High School State Basketball Tournaments. If the storm misses the tournaments (and it looks like it will this year) it hits twice as hard during March Madness. I'm predicting a March Madness snowstorm somewhere around the 19th through the 21st... likely 8-12 inches of very wet, very heavy, back-breakin', equipment-wreckin' snow.

My prediction is no storms this month due to a strong SW wind that pushes them to the Ohio Valley and the Northeast. Lets see them break some more snow/ice/cold weather records.

Only 12 inches? Back in 07' we got 40 inches in a week in early April. That was a mess!

Wokw up to 12 above this morning. Cleaned up most of the snow with the skid steer so my friend can get outside with his wheelchair once it warms up. We always think we got it bad until we see the next guy. Kind'a funny because we were talking about the nice weather and we both said what WS Wrote.. Might not get those sub type temps but we could end up looking like those out east..
I remember saying 'April Showers bring May Flowers'..... While standing in 16 inches of fresh snow... Talking 38 degrees for tomorrow... ;-)

-8 here this morning. Supposed to be the last day of below zero for the season. I'll take that. We can have some more snow as long as we get some melting to go with it.

We didn't get any of the great Mid-Atlantic blizzard yesterday, but what snow we do still have is plentiful, and frozen as hard as concrete.

Don't move here. This has been the winter of summer. The ski hill is barely running and only on weekends. There has been a fireworks caused brush fire to the north. I think I'll do some cleanup work to make this place a bit less burnable. That's usually not a worry. The pollen burst was early. I've been wearing short pants daily. We should be OK for water this year, except for the Yakima Basin, which will be hurting for irrigation.

This week we've had lows in the 20s, but highs in the 50s except yesterday felt 60ish in the sun. The Mole People are enjoying the warm weather but now we have a new dread--the migration of Californians who are escaping their drought. Oh well, maybe I can convince a rich one to buy my place at SoCal prices and move to Minnesoda or somewhere cheaper.

There are rumors of getting near 70 this weekend and I think I'll skip the monthly music gathering. It'll just be too nice of a day to be indoors.
