Interested in a new pruner head for our Jameson poles, but haven't seen any that really catch my eye. The Jameson ones seem a little small, there's a Corona that pretty big, but I'm not sure about the quality. What are some top notch pruner heads we should consider?

I like Marvin pruner heads but haven't seen any in about 5 years, although I haven't really looked. The Marvin heads have a nice wide mouth that lets you take snips if the branch is too big to get it in one shot, plus pully/spring set up on the backside is perfect for pinching a rope to advance the rope up the tree. You could also wedge a handsaw in the pruner knife, do a couple wraps with the cord over the handle and you had an instant pole saw.

Now I have Jameson poles and pole saw head with just a cheap blade from Home Depot. I have some Corona pruner that is supposedly commercial grade that I bought from a local farm & tractor store, but it's been a piece of junk.

the jameson is a marvin head the corona bypass is excellent there are the two best pruners out there we have used them for over 30 years now tom trees

Didn't know that about Marvin/Jameson. The Marvin heads we had were always on wood poles with just Marvin stamped on the head, and the Jameson poles I have now just has a pole saw head on it. Learn something new everyday, glad to know that. I've had Corona handsaws that I've bought from Home Depot that were actually pretty decent and felt about on par with Fanno's that I normally use but I must of got the wrong Corona pruner because it's not been that great for me. I'll check out the Corona Bypass next time I'm looking. Thanks.
