Prayers are with Florida, again.

i guess I was one of the lucky ones. I got out of Florida in the early 90's. Been through two devastating floods in Texas but nothing like a Hurricane. I like that you can still laugh about the weather. That's important.

Be safe!

This is from a bro at my music site...

Yes folks it's really cranking up now.

The winds are pounding our place hard, the eye of the hurricane is about 30miles off shore now, winds estimated to be 120mph.

Our road is flooded. My last coconut palm is lying on the ground.

The night sky is filled with rain(sideways), leaves & debris, and brilliant blue balls of light as electrical transformers explode.

Not sure how long I'll have power(knock on wood), hopefully we'll get through this without losing it. A couple of my friends have lost power already.

Got to go now, take a hot shower while I can.

This is Blaster's addition. It's animated and shows the current status and from hte past severel hours. It shows the storm heading NW. This means the strongest winds are those 'right uppercut', which means, I'm sorry Orlando. Rocky J is taking it on the chin right now.

Let us know when you're back online, Rock. Good luck.

And where she's going over the next few days.

It appears the storm is moving right along, which is good. Francis, on the other hand, parked itself on Florida and was relentless in not going away. It musta seemed like forever, living through that storm. Can you say, 'cabin Fever'?

Not meaning to project too far into the future.....

This is a sunday morning satellite pic of the Alantic ocean region, with embellishments.

The eye should be passing over my house any minute now. We'll get a short lull, and then the wind comes from the opposite direction. Gusts have been up in the 70 mph range. Only a couple of calls for trees down so far, probably because phone lines are down. Our oak removal scheduled for this coming Friday is on the roof.

I'm right by the little white dot NE of the Tampa X.

Jeez-O-Pete. If this is a category 1 and it's doing this much damage, what the heck was it like last week for the Jamaicans when Ivan uppercutted them on the brink of category 5?

Looks like your phone's gonna start ringing here in the next few hours, Treeman14. Tomorrow you'll wish you had 12 of you. You are in the thick of it. Keep us posted... speak to us from the eye of the 'cane.

Rocky,.... click, click you out there,..... come in Rocky, click, click. Out.
