bought an 066 off a guy a few weeks ago, love the saw, pretty good condition, fires right up, good compression. got it for $400, think thats a good deal? he was the original owner and got it the last year they made the 066 fore they switched to ms660. well anyways, he was telling me about a can he found on ebay i think he called it a jerry can that has two seperate tanks in one. he said one tank is 2.5 gallons for his premix and 1 gallon for his bar oil and he says its the handiest thing for in the woods i was lookin on ebay and cant find one like that with two seperate tanks and nozzles. i'd like to find a metal one. is it called something else? ever heard of it?
much obliged, doug

I know you said you wanted metal, but baileys sells a plastic one a little bit smaller. 1.5 gal gas and 1/2 gal oil. If that doesn't sound like its for you, you might try checking a few army surplus stores or possibly an offroad parts and accessories place. hope it helps, sorry if it doesn't

I have used these before and the one I own collects dust in the shop. I find them to be a PITA. My favorite jugs are arizona ice tea jugs, tie them together so you can sling them over your shoulder. There heavy duty, cheep, and tasty. I would NOT recommend a jerry can for use in the field. Just my 2 cents.

I've never seen one quite that big. There are a lot of variations on that theme, most of them plastic... but most only hold about a gallon or fuel, or maybe 5 quarts and half that in bar oil. Some have the magic dispenese nozzles that save spillage which are not too bad. They're cheap.

In new zealand, the 'toucan' used to be pretty popular, not as much nowadays. It's an aluminum can with a partition and 2 lids for fuel and oil, and comes with an urban myth (probably not true) that the system of carrying both fuel and oil in the one can originated in new zealand.

Some loggers just use any old plastic jug they can find. You can sling some rope or whatever through them and sling them over your shoulder. They don't last long, which is just fine as you often lose them in the woods anyhow. If you're really lazy, when they're empty you just leave them behind rather than carry them out.
