I can buy one of these for $20 looks new, I just want it to mess with, take apart, practice porting on.
 
A number of manufacturers made saws for John Deere, most of the recent ones have been Echos or Efcos. Before you tear it up, let us see what you have..
 
They were Remingtons for a while, then Homelites, Echos and Efcos. Maybe more.
 
The first saws were Remingtons, then came the Echo's, then the Efco's and then John Deere bought Homelite. I read somewhere that John Deere was losing a million a year with the Homelite before they sold the brand.
 
Couldnt go tonight, he didnt give the model. But after looking at the pic more I think its a homelite, so im not going to bother with that junk.

Thanks I will go get it in the morning then, I want something to play with I think this will do fine.
