was going through and fixing up a jonsered 80 i've been putting together from parts on a decent but rough looking powerhead. now that its warming up here in Maine i've been trying to decide between a full teardown and rebuild to learn from that or just sell off the parts or whole to make up for my cost. i'm hoping to get a decent runner from a member.

the only complaints for the saw right now is that it leaks gas. not exactly sure from where but she's messy. otherwise i've been meaning to frig with the carb and look over the wires to check on some starting issues...with all this gas splashing about of course.

k guys.. do i take her all apart and try to fix her or take her all apart and nothing.

worst case scenario is that this and my david bradley become short movie props.

shake em over my head to a soundtrack

going to look at the electrical as i think thats the first real issue... thats what i get for piecing this one together.. boy am i learning loads.

i'll post some pics of this asap.. she's a brute

I have this weird fixit gene..... if I think it will run I'm simply compelled to make it happen. I have even fixed up some saws that were clearly worth more as parts. Lord knows I don't need any more saws. I just can't help myself!!

I say, fix it! It shouldn't be too hard to figure out where its leaking.

Same here. BTW, I love your quote. Been there and done that too many times!
