Thanks so much Robin, Bob replied last night to my PM. He's looking into a couple of options for me.
Appreciate the lead.

You're welcome Dean....Bob's a great guy, has a great shop and has as much, if not more interest in these old saws than the new ones he sells. We send items back and forth a fair amount.......I'm still ahead in the running the 49SP numbers though......and keep a couple under the bench I can build at any time to maintain my lead....LOL!!!!!

I'll be looking around for a 49 next. Passed up a 361 runner on ebay, it sold for $20 plus shipping.

I don't have a 361 either....don't think they are a true Jonsereds...built in Canada by Fronteer/EMAB or something..... I think....

The smallest Jonsereds I have is a Lil' John which is actually built by Pouland...hot little saw...and the absolute loudest Jonsereds I own...even the larger open mufflered ones.....

All of their pull handles are out of stock except for the cheap-o hard plastic ones. I think they're only $3-ish.

Probably because I bought a couple...they're slow to restock. Probably all their used stuff is from salvage and I don't know what kinda yard/facilities they have. I heard it was just a couple of guys, but their website makes it seem like they are a big company. They did send me a personal thank you note once.

Kevin

Here ya go Kev, I found another rope pull.

Ohhhhh...like that one! Notice how the base square shank fits into the Jonny hole. Spill it...where did it come from?? I'm not loyal to the J'red rubber composition...that sucker looks like it would last a long time.....is it nylon?

Sorry guys, I can not for the life of me remember where I got that pull. It was laying on my glue table in the woodshop with a group of Homelite saws.

I'd say you would be looking for one (or two) of these. It's an aftermarket part available lots of places. It's very inexpensive.

I had a Husky version of that little 361. The saws were made by Frontier Chain Saws in BC and were purchased by EMAB. They made versions of those for many companies.
I got my Husky 35 in a trade with some other saws. I don't think there are many 33cc - 35cc saws of any vintage that it could manage to keep up with. One of the few saws I've sold.

The 25 as you said, is a very good saw.

Thanks Tim, I found them for $1.99. I'm wondering what the catch is.......like are they solid nylon and feel like little bricks in your hand? Sorry to be skeptical but.....if the price is too good to be true, then it usually isn't a good product.

Dean....some feedback on the handle itself??

They're usually about $6 and are neoprene I think. That $1.99 is a clear out price. I have a little Remington with one of those tiny blue Lawnboy mower starter handles on it. That's a little small. Would be tough to take on my 801.
