How do these saws compare to other manufacturers of the same size? I have heard better anti vibe than 066? Any difference between 2094 than 2095? I have 920 JRed, but looking for a little more power for current weight. What husky is around 94cc that is something to talk about?

Thanks,

Patrick

Happy New Year!

As far as I know, both the 2094 and 2095 are basically the same saw as the Husky 394xp, but the power ratings, and max power rpms varied a bit.
- I suspect the 2095 was ported etc for mainly milling, and as a result has the power band at lower rpms, but I am not sure.

The 395xp had some changes that were not present in any of the Jonsereds.

2095 for milling

So the 2094 would be a better firewood saw? have heard a lot about the 394xp, but seems the jreds go for a little cheaper on used saws. Seems like a lot of 066 stuff on the market, is it any better, or just more popular?

:taped: Lets just say personal preference.

Interesting, what kind of changes?

As I said, I dont really know, but the specs of the 2095 says max power is at as low as 8800 rpm ("only" 4.8 kW vs. 5.1 kW), and it was mainly marketed as a part of a package, with a sawmill......

The last year of so, they weren't sold at all, outside that package.

The 066 had to be one of the best selling saws in that category. It's been an incredibly popular saw, built like a truck, cuts like nobody's business, and stands up to hard use. SawTroll would tell you that it has better power output and is lighter than the 395 Husky.

All politics aside, I would take any of the above. All well built, all have a ton of power, without being stupid heavy. I use my 066 a whole lot more than what I should because I get out of the log so much faster...that, and I don't own an 046/372/7900...yet.

Not a sawmiller yet

Ok great, 2095 is for sawmilling, I haven't got that involved yet. What is the power band on the 2094, this sounds more like the firewood cutting saw? Also where are they all hiding at (2094)? Have any production numbers for saws sold? Looks to me like there are at least 3 (066) for every fire wood cutter out there.

I don't think the 2094 was made for that many years before they switched to the 2095. The 2095 was discontinued due to EPA I was told.

One big difference is that on my 2094 the brass oil gear is pressed on the crankshaft so it oils all the time even at idling with the chain stationary. On my 2095 the oil gear runs off the clutch so it oils only when the chain is spinning. Almost all parts are interchangeable for these two saws.

I am not familar with the 2095, but the 2094 was just like the 394xp. The 2094 had the old style chain adjuster on the case beside the bar. Did the 2095 have the side adjuster? I also seem to remember a buddy mentioning that the handle bars on the 2094 and 2095 differed, but again I am not familiar with the later model.

Looking a bit further into it, it became apparent that the speced max power rpms of the 395xp changed from 9600 rpm tp 8700 rpm, with the EPA versions, and max power went down from 5.2 kW to 4.9 kW.

About the same thing can of course have happened to the 2095, resulting in 4.8 kW at 8800 rpm in that case.

The original 2095 from 1993 most likely had the same specs as the 394xp (5.2 kw at 9600rpm).
