I recently bought a new 357xp and used it for the first time today. I have it equipped with a 16" bar with a 3/8" chisel chain, original bar and chain type. I was cutting red oak wood approximately 14" to 24" sizes. I have to say it cut decent, however, I also have a 55cc new craftsman saw and I honestly didn't notice a $400.00 dollar difference in cutting performance???? What do you guys think? I know craftsman probably isn't as durable but it doesn't seem $400.00 worse either....any thoughts? I can buy 3 craftsman for 1 husqvarna of this type...

Give it a chance to loosen up - no saw is great right out of the box (or dealership)..........

...but of course a MS361 would have been better........:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

Needs some time to get up to full speed!

I was almost depressed on my first tank through my 361, but things are still getting better past 10

when i first ran my 359, i thought the same thing, nice saw, but doesnt quite cut like i thought it would. ive put a gallon of gas through it now, dont know how many tanks that is, i always fill up before its empty. but its really starting to wake up. ive had the 20" bar burried in quite a few nasty hard woods. its really starting to cut great. actually couldnt be happier.
