Hey Log-Heads,
Looking for any information/pics/video/advice from past lumberjack ompetitions
in Kap.
We've entered a team and are a little sketchy with a couple of the events.
The 'water boil', do you need to make a platform for the can with wood given? Meaning, you gotta chop some thicker chunks to build staging for the can rest on? And what kind of wood do they give you?.., cedar, pine, railroad-tie..?
And the log roll. I've seen glipses of this one and I'm not sure about the obstacal course they gotta roll the logs around. Is it just a 30-40 ft. straight run to roll, then around a pilon and back to the start. Or do you gotta roll the log over/around more stuff?
We're 1st timers, but eager to compete and see the pros do their stuff.
Look out for the FIREWOOD.CA wood-chucks, coming to a local Lumberjack competition near you!
P.S. Where's the Lambert hiding now?
