Steve here... Well my 088 made the UPS ride back safe to Wisconsin, after receiving Ken's woods saw treatment.
Sounds awesome, can't wait to cut wood Saturday.
As you can see by the pic she's resting comfortably in her
humidity controlled safe.....
ps I sure hope that little canuk's 088 ate that 3120 for lunch!!!

Hello Guys,
I did finally get steve's 088 off to him. The cutting time stock in a 24 inch log was 16.18 seconds. after the porting and other mods it cut a 9.38 with the same bar and chain in the same log. It also cut a 1.88in a 8 inch cant before and a 1.09 after the mods. After you get it broken in it should be faster steve
Seth,(nelsonfrye) i've got your 088 on the bench but it will take a bit longer because of the cylinder head and pipe and header work but I'm coming along on it.

congrats on your 88 Steve. I like it's home. You better get them rifles out of there and store them in the shed or something, that 88 is bound to get pissed, having to share quarters with mixed company and everything.:D I can smell a showdown between KD's woodsaws, 3120 vs. 088. :)
 
Steve here... No hammerin' yet, wife had me painting. Was able to snap off this pic of the exhaust, between coats. Ken what kind of wax should I use on this port.

Ken here, nice pictures, are those 10 inch cants? When you and steve test those saws send us the cutting times. we gotta know how the 084 and the 088 run today.
