Any of you use this throwline? i wa given a tube of it a while back. it looks a lot like Zing it but it is grey. it is made by samson and can be seen under recreational marine>accessory cord.

1.75MM 400lbs avg strength

Nope, after trying Zing-It I quit looking for other throw line. I did however go from the 1.75mm to the 2.2mm because the smaller line cut my hands when pulling through the tree and it tended to curl up after being stressed (like a ribbon on a wrapped gift box). Since going to the 2.2 my throw line lasts 4-5 times as long and I can pull it by hand.

Agreed, went through the same thing, 1.75mm Zing-It was rough on my hands and very grabby on bark, 2.2mm is much better. I still use the 1.75 for in-tree shorter throws with a 10oz bag, works great for that.

Is this the stuff you're talking about?
Samson HPS twine
The low visibility color could be a problem. Otherwise if it doesn't tend to tangle it should work fine.

Yes thats it. it feels the same as Zing it just not AS waxy. I will try. it was free so if I get some use from it I will be happy.

I think I was there when you got it. One of the guys who supplied it said it was zing-it and samson messed up the colors. Good story anyway. Grey throw line is hard to see.

yes you were....more BS from the masters huh?

Guess so, but if I remember, of the two there it wasn't the share holder. I only give the explaination creedance because I don't know why the heck Samson would deliberately make grey throw line. Unless it was surplus for some of something meant for other uses.
