lincoln grease gun

Ive had my lincoln grease gun since november 24th 2007 so its one year and one month old.It is only warrantied for 1 year.I was using it the other day and must run out of grease maybe i didnt notice it right away or was paying attention.It makes noise like one crank or trying to crank or pump and stops like its locked.I recharged the battery and it came free finally but wont pump grease.I made sure there is no air in the gun.Just wondering if this happened to any one.Im most likely going to buy a new one not worth paying to have it fixed when i can buy a new one for 270.Any comments appreciated thanks

All we used at work was a manual grease gun with a flexible short hose. Very reliable and rugged.

I had the same problem with a pneumatic greaser. It seems to lose its "prime" if it runs dry. I chucked it and use a manual one now. Better exercise.
