So i finaly found the max size load for my nissan. The wood is dead doug fir. I do 3 rows the same as the one you see pictured and the fourth just up to the bed sides. I cant believe how much weight this thing will haul.20150601_125637.jpg20150601_125626.jpg20150601_125615.jpg

Bout anything will haul more than it should. Pulled a tractor with an F150 Saturday. It pulled great and I was amazed at how much power it had. BUT.....I will never do it again....the one time I needed to stop quickly....I couldn't and just had to pray and shoot the gap. Never never never again!!

Used to stack it like that in my ranger but it had racks. Not taking any main roads home? The law over here is pretty relaxed about hauling stuff but that might get a second look. Nice looking wood, I like red fir but tamarack is usually easier to find on this side of the border.

No main roads and only 7 or 8 miles from home. Chewelah has lots of larch huh might have to go camping out that way and bring a load home. Any big stuff?

Nope nothing here. Lol. Not sure how it works cutting or getting permits from out of state. Ive never cut in Idaho. We do have lots of red fir but I seem to only find the half rotten ones.

Ive never cut in washington but would guess the permit is pry more $ for an outastater your larch is safe lol. Some of the best red fir i get has 2"-3" ring of rot but the middle is just beatiful stuff. Best part is alot of that is already on the ground20150305_140436.jpg
