I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, so if it's the wrong one I apologize but couldn't find any other place to post.

I cut firewood yearly for my grandmother, parents, and my family. I'm looking for some skidding tongs that will open 24" to 32". They can be used or new, but mainly just so they're in good condition. I can't afford some of the prices I've seen on the net, I was wondering if anyone knew of an individual or other place to buy some without costing an arm and a leg.
We have had alot of ice during the last two winters and have several trees in the woods that could be skidded out with a tractor.

Thanks,
Chris

Or you could skip the tongs and go cable or chain. I'm not a big fan of the tongs myself especially in frozen wood.

32" available from TSC for $90.00. i have seen them in the store, look like they would be good for an occassional use, not to sure about a lot of pulling. as said previously, they can be a pita especially when working alone. i found a heavy duty strap works just as well.
