Hello,
New here to the forum. I've called/texted some of the tree places around me but nobody has even replied or called me back. Understandable as most places are still loaded with work. I did get one lead via FB marketplace and I talked to them on the phone and they said they'd get with me for some jobs to see how I did but never got back with me and didn't reply to me when I followed up with a text.
Background: Looking to get into the line of work on the side for money and a backup trade to my current job. I purchased a chainsaw a few weeks ago and have been learning it, learning to sharpen it and have been using it to trim down logs for firewood as well as remove some trees that went down on my property. My equipment/ppe is pretty basic. Chaps, helmet/glasses combo, Stihl MS261. Also ordered a gorilla cart for the purpose of moving firewood.
Hoping to find someone who is an experienced one man or small operation who just needs some help on larger jobs. I work from home from 6 to 3pm so am available after M-F and on the weekends. I have my own transportation of course so I can meet on a job site and can bring my own equipment. I understand the basics with tension/compression, some things to look out for when cutting, preventing kickback, but am still pretty green overall.
But if you're needing a basic laborer who can help run the saw a little bit or whatever you're willing to teach, I would be very appreciative. Thank you!
