Looking for some advise

I need some thoughts on rebuilding an 066. Mine seized up today (have no idea why) figure it will cost me $400 to fix a $400 saw. Not too sure it is worth it.

Not really ready to invest in a new saw but need a large saw for somw of the trees I get to work on here.

I would double check to see how much it will cost exactly before making a decision.
If your estimate of $400 is correct, I would buy a new saw if it costs $400. Why would you want to spend all that money into an old saw.
You can probably sell your broken one easily.
AS for your needing a big saw..........rent one for a day

There are lots of used 066's that sell for around $400 on EBay. I think that there are 5 or 6 on right now.
