Mr. Rollin Eslinger. There were two competitors on here but their extreme competitive nature got them banned from the site. That was Cahoon and Fales. Are you sure you haven't heard that already? Mike

I like crushing cans too, but with a throwing axe.

Don’t know a thing about them getting banned. Sounds like I better give them a ring. Haven’t talked to Tom in 6 or7 months and Dennis in a couple of months. We just got are computer fixed and I decided to take a look at Arboristsite. I was just wondering who might be on here, and if there was anybody from the glory days.

ROLLIN

Hi Rollins, welcome to AB. I'm a Pro Lumberjack and saw racer and probably the best in Canada as well as the best square grinder East of the Rocky's Mountains.
It's highgrade Fir I'm after, so I romp merrily thru the bush brandishing a 385 so I can cut narrow kerfs and make the trees piss their roots.
So as you can see, my saws sound like Tasmanian Devils about to be nutered.
So yes, to answer your question, I am a Lumberjack and why wouldn't I be?
Regardless, just as a word of warning, don't get too close to me, as I will use you up and go on to the next one.
John the Con

I know most of the top lumberjacks around Gypo Logger, so what's your real name?
Fir! Luscious Ponderosa pine is what you want. That’s my favorite wood to cut.
Just a little warning back, if you talked like a poofter in Tazmania, you’d be the one getting de-nutted. I know, cause I’ve spent a lot of time there, and seen the three headed people.
Thanks for the warning about the hip boots ehp, yes it looks like I might need them around here!
I think I’ll go searching around the site and read up on some stories I've heard about, bye, bye ROLLIN

Rollin , i donot think I have meet you in person, I may have at Webster but not sure , Now Melvin I have alots of times and see quite often , I have had your 250 yamaha here for awhile with the 3/8's chain on it, it is just to bad Dennis and Tommy could not be on here at the same time as you then the real stories would be flying

Rollin,

There are a few folks on here, myself included, who compete in hand sawing and chopping in addition to power sawing, and a greater number who just do hotsaw and stocksaw.

I'm not at all good at it, but I have lots of fun.

It's good to have you here, I've seen you on TV many times.

HA HA HA! Gypo talks like a poofter!

Yeah Rollin, read those stories but boot up first. Most, especially those posted by Gypo, are meant to be entertaining and often tongue in cheek. A few others though, especially the old saw experts are the really funny ones.

I also smash beer cans with an axe and throw hotsaws, can I hang out with you? I`ll even fly to California to be in your cheering section. LOL! :D

Welcome to AS Rollin.

Rollin,

Does it bother you that virtually all of the show results and record books seem to list your name spelled as Rolin, with one "L" instead of the two that you obviously use?

Russ

Say hey joker, No it don't bother me, it happens all the time, and people call me Roland instead of (Rawlin) all the time too. I'm the one that messed up the spelling signing in and didn't know how to fix it. You can call me anything you want, but if I don't like it, I'll let you know! Rollie

Are these show results and record books that Rolin is listed in somewhere on the internet?

HI Husky 394, Jamie Cogar gave up on the axemans new last year and it's to bad. It had a lot of information about contests and records. It also had a lot of pictures from events going on during the year in the U.S., Canada, N.Z. and Aus.
