This came my way today. It appears to be in fairly good shape. Bore & Piston look good, it has pretty good compression, has spark, but I suspect the carb is gummed up as it won't start and the plug stays dry.

Does anyone have a ball park idea what it would fetch on ebay? would it be worth much more if I got it running?

Thanks

sadly, maybe $50 (but you NEVER know just how much someone will pay...). But don't let that deter you from spending $60 on fixing it up - someone will love it, and think of all the fun you'll have. :) I do it all the time

Just put MAC Mcculloch etc on your Ebay search string then and then add similar models to your watch list for a few weeks. You get the feel for it.

Yeah, unfortunately, I don't have a boat to anchor with it. When I get bored <G> I'll tear it down a bit more and give it a good cleaning and see if I can get it to run.

I can leave it to the kids and maybe in 50 years it iwll be worth something.

Ye okay, not a record breaker.Pull that .4o4 chain off, replace it with an 8 tooth 3/8 ,put a good round ground chisel on it.It won't make it out cut an 066,but will improve it,greatly .Most likely will never be worth a lot,at one time they were as common as Volkswagons [perhaps a little before your time] :)

Who knows, I might like something like that. perhaps a nice piece of beastly history to put on the shelf in my shop.

If I can find the extra cash I may just buy it, make a nice set of Mac saws in my collection.
