Never needed one before, most all my saws have regular bolts or Allen bolts.

Roanoker, I've got a $150 HD rental. Mine was brand new. Chain was on backwards so clerk thought it was bogus. NS. With your expertise I can't wait for you to get into these saws and start modding and porting them. Murph put a Mahle 79cc P/C in it. Lost my work bench in my father's barn. Anyway great find. You'll love this saw in any CC.

Compression should be about 170psi.

My 6400 is pretty well used and pulling 180

You did good! I have 3 Home Depot former rental 6401s one was in pieces and the rental guy said it needed a coil as there was no spark. But the only thing wrong with it was a bad connection at the switch. I got that one for $75 and made it into my hot rod with the baileys big bore kit, HD filter and 32" bar should fire it up for the first time today after church and one delivery. The other two are stock but with quality 20" bars and plenty of chains for my guys to use and abuse and have held up quite well.

Johnny, thanks for the clear photo of the piston. I'm now feeling better about the pistons in a couple of saws that I got around to checking on Thu & Fri.
