there is a walbro spring that is stiffer and fixes teh issue. not a dolly fix, not sure where it originally came from but that is the fix i have done on a bunch of them

A little off the subject, I have two makita 6401's and thinking of putting oem 7901 cylinder kit on one but I will never run over a 24" bar, will I notice a big difference or just a so-so improvement, I only cut fire wood for myself but I love to see the chips fly.
